First Holy Communion 2021
Saint Leo IV and Saint Edmund – The First Holy Communion rehearsal will be on Saturday, 1 May 2021, following the 9 a.m. (9:20 a.m.), Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in Saint Leo IV. All candidates and at least one parent must be present for the rehearsal. First Holy Communion Sacrifice of the Mass will be on Sunday, 2 May 2021, at 9 a.m. for both Saint Leo IV and Saint Edmund.
First Confessions – First Confessions for both Saint Leo IV and Saint Edmund will be held in Saint Leo IV Catholic Church on Monday, 26 April 2021, following the 6 p.m. Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, (6:20 p.m.). All First Holy Communion candidates will go first and then if any parents would like to go to confession you may go after the children have finished.
First Holy Communion Dress Code
Little Girls – White dress (with sleeves, back and front must be covered, with a veil, white shoes and white socks or stocking (as mom sees fit with dress). They may wear gloves as they will receive Holy Communion on their tongues for the first time.
Little Boys – Dark pants (only black or navy), white long sleeve shirt, and tie. If you have a suit that is fine, but do not go out and buy one unless you would like them dressed in one.
Saint Leo IV Roman Catholic Church and Saint Edmund Catholic Chapel will provide each candidate with a candle, prayer book, rosary, and their scapula.
